Supervision and Direction:

The Housekeeper receives general supervision and direction from the Manager/Administrator or designee.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing the duties required to provide adequate and efficient housekeeping functions that assure cleanliness of all assigned apartments, as well as hallways, stairways and other public areas.  Such responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sweeping and vacuuming
  • Washing tile floors
  • Cleaning of offices
  • Dusting
  • Sanitizing hard surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms
  • Cleaning woodwork and doors
  • Changing of towels and bed linens
  • Schedules with Janitor necessary shampooing of carpets.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and to bend, crawl, stoop, push, and lift in order to deliver care and services as needed.

Housekeepers will wear uniforms issued when reporting for work.
