October 18, 2014 was a magical night. Chesterbrook Residences was transformed into Paris through Mary Ann’s creative design and amazing touch of class. Mary Ann spent many hours of thought, design and implementation into creating such a spectacular atmosphere.
Guests were greeted by large Eiffel Towers and Larry Chalmer (former resident’s son) speaking French. The top hat was a nice touch.
As guests entered on a red carpet, champagne was flowing and they made their way down to the festival of culinary delights designed by Chef Zac Mustin and his amazing team. The food was delicious and elegantly displayed as residents and their families mingled around listening to the music of Dale Allen Jarrett and his trio. As Garrey danced with the residents and their family members, I think they all had a chance to feel like a professional. The line dances were particularly popular with some new residents who definitely got their groove on.
Our silent auction was a great hit. Thank you to those who donated so generously. From elegant jewelry, laptop computer, gift baskets and cards, to landscaping services, professional portraits and pottery, the items sold like hotcakes. We were able to raise over $3000.00 towards our continuing care fund for our residents.
A special thank you goes out to the volunteers who made the night possible. From the ones who helped decorate the community, to the registration desk helpers, as well as the volunteers who helped in the dining room, bar and residents need’s. THANK YOU! WE COULD NOT DO WHAT WE DO WITHOUT OUR VOLUNTEERS!
We had some previous team members come to celebrate Paris with us. It was so nice to see so many of the previous team members come and support us. Thank you to the family members that came to celebrate with us. Great stories and laughs were shared.
To the amazing TEAM now at Chesterbrook…. as we celebrate our 7th year, feel proud of what we have built. Thank you for all the many hours of preparation to make this event successful. It is a joy to serve our residents and families every day.
To our residents, you bring light and happiness to the staff every day. You are gracious and kind. You make us want to come to work every day. We do what we do because of you. YOU, the residents make Chesterbrook Residences possible. The support of our residents and families is such a nice gift.
Happy 7th Birthday Chesterbrook Residences!
