Last Saturday we visited Meadowlark Botanical Gardens.  We received a guided tour of the Atrium Gardens, stopped by the Visitor's Center and the Gift Shop.  It could not have been a more beautiful day to visit this beautiful part of Vienna!

On Thursday, April  16 several residents from Chesterbrook attended Cinderella's Ball, a flower show at Little Falls Presbyterian Church in Arlington, VA.  We received a lovely reception, and enjoyed looking at the beautiful flowers and gowns.

On Saturday, April 11, 2009, Chesterbrook Residences held its first community wide Easter Egg Hunt.  Due to the muddy waters from the rain, most events were held inside...starting off with the Egg Hunt, children, great-grandchildren and friends dispersed all over the living room area, also known as the lobby...winners of the Golden & Silver eggs received a special prize.

We certainly enjoyed the Cherry Blossom Festival!  On April 6, five residents joined our friends from Vinson Hall and headed to Washington, D.C. to board a boat for the Cherry Blossom River Tour...we were lucky that it stopped raining and the sun came out just as we got to D.C! 

Just two days later, we boarded our van and went for a drive around Hane's Point to look at the Cherry Blossoms.  The van was full although it was a windy day, the skies were clear.  A few residents even got off the van to get a closer look.  We sure are glad spring is here!
